Parashuram, the sixth avatar (Dashavatara) of Lord Vishnu, is uniquely worshipped as both a sage and a warrior. Born to Sage Jamadagni and Renuka, Lord Parashuram is known for wielding the divine axe (Parashu) gifted by Lord Shiva. Hindu scriptures describe him as the protector of righteousness who appeared to restore balance and uphold dharma.
Unlike other Vishnu avatars associated with kingship, Parashuram represents discipline, penance, courage, and devotion. He is also regarded as the teacher of legendary warriors such as Bhishma, Drona, and Karnan in the Mahabharata.
This handcrafted bronze and brass Parashuram Avatar idol beautifully captures the majestic form of the warrior sage holding his sacred axe. Inspired by ancient temple traditions and South Indian craftsmanship, the sculpture reflects strength, wisdom, and the timeless legacy of Hindu mythology.
